Hi I am Paul from PersonablePortraits and I am an 'Accidential Artist' with ADHD & Dyslexia. The reason I call myself an accidental artist is because I found out I can draw because I purchased some cheap sketchpads to make notes on and doodle to help me manage my ADHD and well I kinda ended up getting obsessed with drawing! Click here to see my BIO.
This all happened in March 2023 and it's mad how things have progressed so fast! I started a page for my art (Please give me a follow), I started doing commissions and selling prints of my art. Then in 2024 I started a massive art project that will take over 14 years, I am drawing daughter life size every year from baby all the way to an adult on one massive page, click here to see my latest video on this.
It's not easy managing all this but I try to not let it hold me back, I have ADHD which makes me impulsive and I have dyslexia so I often make a lot of typos and spelling errrors, see what I did there? I've decided to embrace my struggles and my silly ways to do something truely possitive in 2025 to celebrate our differences by launching an art based project called 'Hyperfocus'.
'Hyperfocus' is an ADHD trait of which I have built the theme of the project around however this project looks to to raise awareness for ADHD and Neurodivisity. We will also be finding creative ways to raise money for a charity that supports families with Neurodivergent children (more information on this coming soon).
